It’s been some time when I’ve posted something IT or 3d printed related. After sometime playing arround with the printer and sadly breaking it in the process, I’ve collected three points which has been critical for my 3D print journey. Lets get right into it. hen using it.

Tip 1:

When moving the printer from location ALWAYS recalibrate the printer. Found this out the hardway of moving the printer and tryingh to print something. Result? a printhead missing the printbed. and resulting in alot of stringing and wasting filiament.

Tip 2:

When placing the printer in a moister area like a shed of a cellar, spend some extra money on a filiament dryer / feeder combination. This will make sure the filiament wont absorp moisture from the air and the surroundings. The printing process will be a mess with to much moisture in the printing material. When you dont spend the money and think whats the worst that can happen? well it will wreck the printhead by clogging up the nozzle and completely surround the nozzle/printhead with printing material.

Tip 3:

When the printer is in a more moister area, you can also see the tempature difference. What I mean by that is that prints start warping in figure. By using a gluestick this can force the print to stay on the printbed.

Conclusion

Having a 3d printer is alot of fun and it can create things that you normally would look for in a store or online. With having such a tool the mind shifts towards: “I can create and print that”.

Stay tuned for the next part in my 3d printing journey!
